Memorial Weekend Exploration of Central Park

With the authors of "Frommer's 24 Great Walks in New York"

SUNDAY, MAY 25, 2008, at 1:30PM

Join authors, tour guides, and NYC experts Michelle and James Nevius on a 2-hour walking tour of the history, architecture, and cultural significance of Central Park. Because we're doing this tour the day before Memorial Day, we'll pay special attention to the park's war memorials, from William Tecumseh Sherman, to the Seventh Regiment memorial facing Sheep Meadow (which itself was once supposed to be a military parade) to the World War I grove near the Mall. And, of course, we will look at many other wonderful places in the park.

The price of the tour includes one copy of our book, "Frommer's 24 Great Walks in New York," for every 3 participants; additional books can be ordered (below).

This is a great deal! Our tours are normally $20 per person and book retails for $15.99, so take advantage of this perfect opportunity to learn a little bit about New York's most greatest park and get a handy walking tour book, too!

NO ADVANCE PAYMENT NECESSARY (or taken, for that matter). You can pay by CASH or CHECK when you show up for the tour. (Unfortunately, we are not equipped to take credit cards on site.)
